Rajasthan
Located in the northwestern part of India near the Pakistan border is the state of Rajasthan. Amidst this dry, hot region is an incredibly vibrant collection of cultures with mirror-studded costumes, bright turbans, stone carved palaces and mural-embellished homes, camels, and more crafts than one dare see. Take a camel ride through the desert, meander through the narrow alleys, and marvel at the craftsmanship of the buildings once occupied by maharajas and wealthy traders. Despite the bustle of the markets and lively festivals, Rajasthan offers a slightly slower and gentler pace and a treasure trove of memories for those willing to take the time to experience it.
